WHY METAL??
During the late 1980's and 1990's many roofs were replaced that were 30 or 40 years old. The shingles were thick, durable, and a quality product. Since then, many laws have passed concerning the chemicals used to produce shingles that have adversely affected their longevity. Metal roofing installed a long time ago was thin and cheap, and fastened with short lead head nails that corroded quickly.
